Bob Beatty isn’t going anywhere for a long time. The La Ronge Ice Wolves announced Thursday that Beatty, who has guided the team to the last two Credit Union Cup championships, has signed a 5 year contract extension with the club.
Beatty has been with the Ice Wolves organization for the past seven years. Since assuming the head coaching duties in 2004, he has compiled a 182-161-12-25 record with the team winning the SJHL championship the past two years. Beatty has also been named the SJHL coach of the year three times---twice with Humboldt and once this past season.
Ice Wolves president Terry Helary is ecstatic knowing Beatty will continue to be a fixture in the organization.
“We are obviously very happy to have Bob sign on for an additional five years,“ Helary said. It shows the La Ronge Ice Wolves are a solid franchise in the SJHL and that our fans can take comfort in knowing we have the best Coach and GM in the business.“

Not surprising news, considering they brought Ron Holloway back on board last week as an assistant coach.
