Pats Are One Win Away From 2nd Round

(Photo by Chris "Big Red" Harris--620 CKRM )

Austin Wagner was the hero for the Regina Pats Tuesday night. He batted a rebound behind Landon Bow at the 425 mark of overtime sending Swift Current fans into the night in a disappointed mood as Regina takes Game 3 of their first round series 5-4 giving them a 3-0 series lead which is something not many around the league expected.

The goal capped off what was the best game of the series as it was a back and forth affair all night long with Swift Current holding leads of 1-0 and 3-2 that they couldn't protect.

Other Regina goals came from Braden Christoffer, Colby Williams and Adam Brooks.

Game 4 is Wednesday in Swift Current with Game 5 in Regina on Good Friday if needed.

WOW. What a very good game. PATS had Swift Current hanging on for the 3rd period and if not for SC goaltender this game would not have gone to OT. Not sure if they can sweep but Pats in drivers seat. Well done PATS

Pats ownership and Mike Sillinger flew to the game in Swift Current last night, this morning they will announce plans for a new 20,000 arena to be built in the old CP yards downtown Regina and apply for Oilers minor league hockey team Oklahoma Barons.

Solid effort by the Pats. Don't know if they sweep or not, but the series won't go 6.

Brent Parker's tentacles are no longer on this hockey team and a playoff win follows.

Funny how that happens isn't it.

I would rather go bald then get my haircut at one of his places.
