Amber Holland's quest for a gold medal at the World Womens Curling Championship fell one shot shy. Facing a tough draw to the 4 foot with her last shot, Holland came up short allowing for a steal of two and the world title for Annette Norberg and her Swedish rink. Still a tremendous effort by the Canadian girls who I'm sure will come home to a great reception at the Regina airport tomorrow just before 6.
A great effort by Amber and crew. No complaints whatsoever.
That 10th end was a trainwreck, but Amber just about pulled another rabbit out of the hat. We're still proud of you!

Bad finish to a great game.
ReplyDeleteThey'll be back.
ReplyDeleteOnce Tammy sailed that one through the house I had a bad feeling. Tough to say if Amber could have made that shot because of the weight needed but its still a big time accomplishment. Congrats, we are proud of you.
ReplyDeleteWe just can't close the deal in Saskatchewan. Amber, the Riders, the Husky womens hoops team, am I forgetting anyone?
