Chick And Bagg Named Players Of Month

Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman John Chick and receiver Rob Bagg have each been named a CFL Player of the Month for August.

Chick was named Defensive Player of the Month after continuing a torrid league leading start to the season. It is the second time this season Chick was named Player of the Month after picking up July honours.

Through five games in the month, the fifth year Rider veteran registered 12 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks and one forced fumble. On the season the 31-year-old Wyoming native has totaled 23 defensive tackles and a league leading 12 quarterback sacks.

Bagg was named Canadian Player of the Month after five strong outings in August where he collected 23 receptions for 357 yards and a touchdown.

The 29-year-old Kingston, ON native has registered 32 catches for 472 yards and a touchdown through nine regular season games. It is the first time in his career Bagg has picked up Player of the Month honours.

When he's healthy, there is no better Canadian receiver in this game than Rob Bagg!

It would seem as if some Hamilton fans have found your blog Scruffy. Too bad their team can't find its game.

Behind the scenes operations looking mighty bleak for the Toronto Argonauts Football Club, are they going to temporarily suspend operations 2015+ if a new suitable ownership can't be found?

Everyone has their opinions, right or wrong.. That being said, Fantuz over Bagg? Maybe while Andy was here, but since he left what has he done... Absolutely nothing. A great supporting cast makes a great team. I think Andy can see he does not have a great supporting cast...
