KJ Returns To Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are turning back the clock in an attempt to salvage their season.
GM Brendan Taman said the team is bringing in veteran QB Kerry Joseph, who led the team to a Grey Cup win in 2007. Joseph won the Most Outstanding Player award that season.
The Roughriders have struggled since starter Darian Durant was lost for the year to injury, using backups Tino Sunseri and Seth Doege.
Joseph hasn't played since last year with the Edmonton Eskimos. The 41-year-old has 27,491 career passing yards and 144 touchdowns to 121 interceptions in 11 seasons with the Eskimos, Roughriders, Toronto Argonauts, and Ottawa Renegades.

This just reeks of desperation, but the Riders are desperate. They may be able to win a game or two down the stretch to get a home playoff game. Thats about the best they can do now with or without Durant

    Fire Taman immediately !

Enoughs enough, you don't build a team long term through others rejects and old castoffs.

Love the move. Experience equals wins. If Kerry can win a couple of games until Darian comes back, I'm all for it.

Do you and Rod really think KJ is starting against the Eskimos? Lets see how Tino does against the Als first before we start discussing that!

Chamblin says get me an experienced QB and Taman gets him one at no cost to the team, This doesn't stop the moron faction that can't stand Taman though, Solid move! I hope at end of year they offer him a job as QBs coach.

My how the mighty have fallen. Last winter the Regina media anointed the Riders the title of 'model franchise'. Now they're the laughing stock of the league.

Could have got Tanner Marsh here early in the season for Gainer the Gopher with one phone call. Would have been a vast imediate improvement over the second, third, fourth stringers currently with the club.

The condescending buffoon now reversing himself, "you always need a veteran QB" in his media scrums. Where the hell was that mindset at the beginning of the season and the off season? He had all the time in the world plus some to do his job and failed. A 42 year old out of work, retired washed up QB? come on now, that's just plain asinine of this indecisive incompetent socalled profession gm making the Riders organization, it's real professional football personnel look totally bad, low class, bush league and incapable of new player recruitment all because of his lack of judgement and inaction.

    Here's a message hickville,
Last year's GC Championship team build courtesy of Mr.J Hopson, taman just the messenger, he knows nothing about football. Mr Chamblin, are you ready? GM/HC job.

Going to be a sight for sore eyes when grandpa Joseph, the oldest Roughrider in history comes on to the field of play with the aid of his walker wearing his familiar #4 jersey. "Only in Saskatchewan".
