Riders Release Chris Milo

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced the release of kicker Chris Milo on Monday afternoon.

Milo had been deactivated from the roster after a Week 1 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as he was replaced by Paul McCallum who made all three of his field goal attempts in Sunday's overtime loss to the Toronto Argonauts.

The 28 year old had been with the Riders since being drafted by them in the 2011 season.

During his Riders career, he made 110 of 139 field goals and did not miss a PAT in 121 attempts.

He was great in 13 and then went south and went south in a hurry.

with a body like Phil Kessel, it's tough to be an elite athlete

Milo’s release serves as smokescreen for Riders problems.

That's the title of Darrell Davis' article on 3downnation

    It's worth the read.

I like Darrell Davis, but his article on Milo is just plain silly.

Darrell Davis always has had an axe to grind against the Riders.

He can now do it once again in print and on that platform since very little listen to the radio show he does.

Maybe Davis is realistic and your other sources aren't
