The voice of the Saskatoon Blades, and all-around good guy Les Lazaruk, has unearthed an interesting little piece of information regarding Lloydminster and the Western Hockey League.
Lazaruk says the Frog Lake First Nation is looking at building a facility that would house a WHL team,

ReplyDeleteDidn't Ochap want to buy the Pats and the WHL said no and gave the franchise to the Parkers instead?

ReplyDeleteWith the problems in the oil patch and the provincial government in Alberta, it's going to be tough to convince the WHL to put a team there. Winnipeg and Penticton just to name a couple have already expressed interest to the WHL. There are also a couple USA locations interested. It will next to impossible to ignore these places to go to a real small town.
