The Regina Pats played their first Game 7 at home since the Agridome (Brandt Centre) opened on Monday night, and thanks to their 5-1 win against the Swift Current Broncos, they will play in their first Eastern Conference final since 1993.
To say the Pats dominated the Broncos would be kind as early goals from Sam Steel and Filip Ahl put the Broncos back, and they could not recover as they looked nothing like the team that gave Regina everything it could handle in the first 6 games of the series.
Regina now awaits the winner of Game 7 Tuesday night between the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Medicine Hat Tigers to see who their opponent in the East final will be.
Game 1 of the series will go Friday with Game 2 on Saturday. Tickets can be bought starting at noon tomorrow from ReginaPats.com, the Brandt Centre ticket office or Safeway locations in Regina. Fans should note the tickets from Safeway could go on sale before noon.
ReplyDeleteComplete and total domination. SC looked like they didn't even want to be there.
Papirny was the story to start the series, but Brown was the story to end it.

ReplyDeleteLot of hockey has to be played yet, but that has to be a real confidence builder. They found something they didn't know they had over the last week.

I agree with Anon 1. SC was a completely different hockey team in Game 7
ReplyDeleteGood on you and others for calling out Murray GM for their "classless" social media posts.
ReplyDeleteThose guys are a joke and this proves it. They just give GM a bad name and Moose Jaw as well.
