Draftkings CFL Week 17

The season is starting to wind down. I'm up considerably on the season, but last week didn't result in anything.  Here's some advice for this week if playing.

QUARTERBACK - JON JENNINGS 9200

I am tempted to take Darian Durant against a bad Argos team, but Jennings threw for over 400 yards in Winnipeg last week in a game BC could have won had it not been for some strange happenings at the command centre. I am expecting Jennings to have another big game tonight. I don't know if he will throw for 400 yards, but I see him having a big night.

RUNNING BACK - JEROME MESSAM 8500

As I have said many times this year, you can't go wrong with Messam. He is the best back in the CFL playing on the best team. He should be able to churn up some good yards against a Montreal defence that should get tired out making it easier for Messam to gain some late game yards. A 100 yard game with a couple of touchdowns isn't out of the question.

RECEIVER - DAVARIS DANIELS 8100

The Calgary rookie continues to put up huge numbers in daily fantasy and the actual game. He has averaged over 21 points a game which makes him the best receiver in the game fantasy-wise. One would expect he will combine with Bo Levi Mitchell on some big plays that can get you to the pay window.

Others to consider are Andy Fantuz, Rob Bagg and Bryan Burnham

DEFENCE - ROUGHRIDERS 4400

The Riders "D" has played much better football over the last few weeks and I am looking for that trend to continue. It would be nice if they could get a defensive touchdown, but I can't see this dismal Toronto team getting more than 21 points this week. Go heavy on some other positions and take the Riders at the bargain price of 4400.

GOOD LUCK

Scruffy - if you are saying Jennings will be best QB shouldn't your receiver also be from BC? If QB is hot then he's gotta throw to somebody, somebody who will help your draft.... Just sayin...

The Riders D? That's a gamble!

Rod S:

Burnham plays for BC and he is listed. You can take more than one receiver ya know!

Understood - it looked to me like those that Scruffy listed were his only choices but rereading his statement he does say that these choices were only his advice on whom to select. I am aware of how Draftkings works but thought you could opt to select a lesser numbers of players in your draft but it looks like I was wrong.

Cheers...

With the Jays game starting at exact same time, will the Argos break their season futility attendance today of 12,373 in week 4 today?

Only Hamilton, Ottawa and Saskatchewan basically sold out every home game this season. The rest of the teams should be ashamed of their home attendances this year:

Ave per
Home Game
BC 20,027
Edmonton 30,684
Calgary 27,469
Sask 31,185
Winnipeg 25,916

Hamilton 23,981
Toronto 16,380
Montreal 20,355
Ottawa 24,774

Did anyone take Joe McKnight? If they did, I am guessing they are a winner this week!
