CFL Suspends Isaac

Brandon Isaac will miss the Argos regular-season finale against Hamilton next weekend after being suspended today by the CFL.

CFL commissioner Mark Cohon announced the one-game punishment on the Toronto linebacker Monday after Isaac delivered an illegal, helmet-to-helmet hit on Saskatchewan Roughriders’ quarterback Darian Durant late in the 4th quarter of Toronto's 31-26 win Saturday in Regina. Durant played the rest of the game and is not expected to miss any action. Isaac was not penalized on the play.
In a news release, the CFL noted Isaac had been previously fined twice this season for illegal hits. One was on Calgary Stampeders’ running back Jon Cornish; the other was on Winnipeg Blue Bombers; quarterback Buck Pierce. That hit left Pierce with a concussion.

I should hope so! Cohon should tell Higgins to suspend Murray Clarke this week too for missing that completely. Possible game-changer!

Mitchell gets two games for twisting someone's arm, Isaac gets a game for being a repeat offender yet Emry gets a fine for hitting Labatte in the nuts. Cohon is as consistent as the refs.

Combined, Cohon and Higgins have as big a balls as the average gnat.

Am I missing something here - why is Brandon Isaac still playing football in the CFL? Three strikes and your out - except in the CFL. The message isn't getting through - he should be suspended for a the bare minimum the rest of the year.
