Durant's Season Is Over

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced quarterback Darian Durant suffered a significant arm injury during Sunday's game in Winnipeg.

Durant, who was injured in the third quarter, travelled back to Regina with the team following the game where he received thorough medical assessment. Tests have revealed Durant suffered a torn tendon in his right elbow that will require surgery.

As a result, the 32-year-old has been added to the teams 6 game injury list and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

No repeat this year. Season over!

Taman should have signed an experienced QB, but he failed.

Those who didn't want Durant around will find out how much he will be missed now.

That investment in Darian's future is really paying off now isn't it.

Kiss that GC goodbye Rider fans! Looks like the Cup is moving to Calgary!!!!

The investments in Lulay, Durant, Reilly, Collaras, Smith, Demarco "is really paying off" because of an injury. Who are the fools that post on these sports blogs. Jeez!

last comment ....does F.O mean anything to you troll ???

Hmmm ! F.O ? F is the sixth letter of the english alphabet, O is the 15th. Old man Durant should have cut Immediately in a salary dump after last years Grey Cup victory ala Kerry Joseph 2007. Roughriders could have retained Drew Willy as their starter at the #1 QB position. Durant looks like a fat little sausage in his tight rotten green uniform and now injury prone due to the aging process.

Lulay out, Durant out. Looks like smooth sailing for the Stampeders now. Bo Levi all the way bay-bee!!

We are about to find out how over-rated Durant is. Sunseri will learn from Cortez and hold the GC high. I hope Taman will then trade Durant and stay with the younger QB.

If Durant had tossed interceptions that caused his team to loose games like Drew Willy has lately, then you could be sure that the loons would be foaming at the mouth about Durant. It clearly pains these goof-balls like Brad M and his pals that Durant keeps getting us to the play-offs and Grey-Cups and to another 8-2 record.

unfortunately Tino doesn't even have moderate experience. A wee bit about BC and now he is going to lead the team to the promised land. For a few years now fans and followers have echoed that if Durant goes down for any length, we're toast.

Hamilton thought because Collaros looked good in one game last year, he could replace Burris. Then they used Lafevor and some other dude. Look where they are now.

Lulay goes down but BC can still win with Glen. He beat us here. The Riders have nothing!!! I read they are looking at some other young guy. Seriously!!
How will that help?

The egg is clearly on Taman's face. Our illustrious GM has no insurance policy in place for this eventuality. Nothing, nada, nil. Sunseri may be able to win the odd game if our defence stays strong, but he can't LEAD us to a victory. Sunseri may be the guy in a year or two but he isn't now. This was a case of poor management and emergency planning. Something Wally Buono would never be caught off guard in.

I saw a guy in the tire shop who knew Henry Burris' bra salesman. He claimed Hank told him to send the next delivery to Ottawa because he ain't going anywhere.

Taman just the messenger boy, he knows nothing about football, or recruitment, and long term team development, nor does he have the necessary big college connections down south to entice the high caliber athlete. Roughriders scouting dept responsible for the odd cast-off gem finds (Korry Sheets) through open invitation camps via Florida. Taman's method of a team build is through others rejects and spending his time pursuing the computer. Last years 2013 team Grey Cup win courtesy of Mr Jim Hopson who gave the final word and permissions to load up the roster via free agency. Taman just a floater, kick him upstairs and let a real football person run the show as GM such as Mr Cory Chamblin.

The day Taman is removed as the Roughriders GM is the day I'll get off my humongous fat ass and get back to Taylor Field and attend in person to rightly support the green and white.

Brother: No worries and no need to get off your fat ass to come to a game. The Riders don't need idiots like you who base their decision not to support the Riders because of a personal dislike of a GM. The team is winning without you, fool!

I was certain that after the winning program put together by Taman and co. that the Taman haters would head off into the sunset with the Richie Hall haters and the Durant haters.

This may be the case, as I suspect the clowns posting stupid comments here about Taman are likely Stamp or Bomber fans.

Anyone who knows anything about the CFL can tell you that it has been the Riders good fortune to sign Taman to a long-term deal.

99% of Rider fans hope he stays on board for years to come and continues with our winning program. He is the one who brought Chamblin to the Riders and our 4th Grey Cup, of which we are forever grateful.

Go Stamps Go ! Go Stamps Go !
2014 CFL Grey Cup Championship guaranteed.

Riders, 4th grey cup in a 100 plus year history, huh ? pathetic ! You should be forever grateful, that's a very poor shameful record on management structure. Can't you people in Saskatchewan do anything right ?
