--The Humboldt Broncos have apparently found a new head coach. The team is scheduled to make an announcement on Tuesday. The team has been without a head coach since Darcy Haugan was killed in the April 6th bus crash that took 16 lives.

--The Flames have added a much-needed scorer to their lineup. Calgary announced the signing of forward James Neal to a five-year deal worth $28.75-million U-S. Neal is coming off a run to the Stanley Cup Final with the Vegas Golden Knights. The 30-year-old winger has reached the 20-goal mark in each of his 10 NHL seasons and produced a career-high 40 goals in 2011-12.

--Chris Kunitz is heading to the Windy City.  The Regina product has signed a one-year deal with the Blackhawks. Financial terms weren't disclosed.  Kunitz spent last year in Tampa registering 29 points in 82 games.  Kunitz has won the Stanley Cup four times---three with Pittsburgh. He is 34 games away from 1000 career.

--Belgium rallied from 2-0 down to beat Japan 3-2 with a goal in the dying seconds and advanced to a World Cup quarterfinal match against Brazil. It's the first time since 1970 that a team has rallied to win a knockout game from 2-0 down at a World Cup. In other knockout-round action, Neymar had a goal and an assist to lead Brazil to a 2-0 victory over Mexico.

--The International Olympic Committee has committed to contributing $925 million U-S to the host city of the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Calgary is among the cities mulling a bid. Calgary hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics and the legacy venues could provide the foundation for the 2026 Games. An estimate has pegged the city's costs at $4.6 billion with revenues covering almost half.

Qustion -
(Respectful, legit), does non related on field pre-game activities (timeline) take away the focus (mentally/physically) of an athlete before he takes to the field of play after preparing the prior week in practice?
