Week 16 CFL Stars of the Week

With the CFL abandoning its "stars of the week" this year, I present to you as I have all year, the Week 16 CFL stars of the week.

OFFENSE - JEFF MATHEWS - HAMILTON

Is it just a case of playing the Riders defense? Mathews torched Saskatchewan for 385 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Ti-Cats 30-15 victory.

DEFENSE- JAMAAL WESTERMAN - WINNIPEG

The Bombers d-lineman had four tackles, two sacks and many pressures against the Lions in their last second victory. Westerman now has a league high 14 sacks and may be a double nominee as the West's best defensive player and Canadian
SPECIAL TEAMS - SEAN WHYTE - EDMONTON

In a defensive struggle, the Eskimos kicker/punter had 8 punts for a 48.6 yard average while kicking two field goals and an extra point in Edmonton's four point win over Calgary.

CANADIAN - CAUCHY MUAMBA - EDMONTON

The Eskimos safety had four tackles in the win over Calgary along with a big interception as the Eskimos grabbed first place in the West with the victory at MacMahon
