CFL East Final Could Be Interesting

Here is what Environment Canada has put out for the Ottawa area Sunday as the Eskimos and REDBLACKS get ready for the East final and a trip to the Grey Cup

Alerts for: City of Ottawa
Statements
4:51 AM EST Saturday 19 November 2016
Special weather statement in effect for:

Ottawa North - Kanata - Orléans
Ottawa South - Richmond - Metcalfe
Significant change to winter weather starting tonight.

A low pressure system sweeping across Ontario is expected to bring colder temperatures with rain changing to snow beginning overnight tonight then continuing Sunday. A few centimetres of snow are expected by Sunday evening. This snow could linger over eastern Ontario for a considerable amount of time into Monday bringing accumulating snow and significantly impacting the Monday morning commute.

Current information suggests total snowfall amounts on the order of 10 to 15 cm, especially over eastern sections, by Monday evening.

Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions beginning Sunday and adjust plans accordingly.

Environment Canada will continue to monitor this evolving situation.

Add to this winds of 50 km an hour and while the worse appears to be happening after the game, it could still be tough sledding for both teams.

If that thing moves in quicker, this game could be like the Edmonton-Toronto GC at old Ivor Wynne Stadium.
