A "Big Dill" for Jon Ryan As He Becomes Co-Owner of Baseball Team

Let the puns begin:

Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan "relishes" his new role. There's never a "dill" moment with the NFL punter.

All that to say that Ryan announced on Wednesday he's becoming a co-owner of the Portland Pickles baseball team.

Why the Pickles, Jon?

"I've been here in the Pacific Northwest for nine years and after my playing years are over, I want to be able to still be a part of this community," Ryan said in the video. "And this is kind of one of those things that will help me be able to do that. We're excited for this summer. We're going to have a lot of a lot of great things going on at the park and hopefully, a lot of people will come out and see it."

The Pickles compete in the Great West League and play their home games at Walker Stadium in Portland's Lents Park. Their 2017 season home opener is on Tuesday, June 6 against the Marysville Gold Sox.
