The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that forward Jake Leschyshyn has been returned to the club by the Vegas Golden Knights.
Leschyshyn, a second round pick by Vegas in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, was with the NHL club until he was cleared to play. The Saskatoon product has been rehabbing from a knee injury he suffered in January of 2017.
Prior to the injury, Leschyshyn had scored 17 goals and had 40 points in 47 games with Regina. He missed the end of the season and the entire playoffs with his injury.
Meanhile captain Sam Steel and defenceman Josh Mahura both remain with the Anaheim Ducks. Steel had an assist in his second NHL pre-season game of the year on Sunday night against the Golden Knights. Mahura has appeared in one game and played in just over 21 minutes.
The Pats return to action on Wednesday night at home to the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at reginapats.com and the Brandt Centre Box Office.
