Shake Up In Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Jets have fired coach Claude Noel and replaced him with Paul Maurice.

Assistant coach Perry Pearn was also let go. The Jets have lost five straight games, are 19-23-5 and in last place in the Central Division.

Maurice has more than 1,000 games of NHL coaching experience with Hartford/Carolina and Toronto, and most recently coached Mettalurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League.

About time, Noel and his act wrong right from the get go. Maybe the Jets can start playing some real capable hockey under the guidance of the coaching genius of Paul Maurice or player's can hit the road out the door elsewhere.
