EA Sports Removes Patrick Kane from NHL16 Cover

In a statement released on Twitter, EA Sports confirms that Patrick Kane will no longer be on the cover of their popular ‘NHL 16’ video game.

Kane, according to reports, is currently the subject of a police investigation for an incident that happened at his off-season home in the town of Hamburg, New York.

Kane was set to appear on ‘NHL 16’ alongside Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, both of whom were photographed for the cover just minutes after winning their third Stanley Cup in six years.

EA Sports previously featured Kane on the cover of ‘NHL 10’ in 2009 and featured the Blackhawks forward in an ad for ‘NHL 11.’ The video game is set to hit shelves on September 15.

At the time of the original announcement, EA Sports said they picked the Blackhawks teammates because of their chemistry and ability to play well together, which fit with company’s new slogan, “Play Together, Win Together.”

Much like the Kobe story, this one isn't going away anytime soon!

Too bad for the kid, but his party lifestyle has finally caught up with him. Whether he did or didn't, this is a LOT different than beating up a cab driver.
