What Did You Miss On Sunday?

--The ink wasn't even dry on the season and the Saskatoon Blades are making changes  On Sunday, the team fired Head Coach Dean Brockman after two seasons behind the bench where they were 63-68-10-3.  The Blades improved by nine points from this year to last, but after gutting their team at the trade deadline, they were unable to hold off Prince Albert for the second wild-card spot in the East

--The WHL season has now ended.  The Moose Jaw Warriors win the Scotty Munro Trophy with a record of 52-15-2-3.  Warriors forward Jayden Halbgewachs was the league's top scorer with 129 points while Everett goalie Carter Hart led the league with a goals against average of 1.6 which was a full goal better than the 2nd place player.  Playoffs start Friday.

--Patrik Laine is the hottest player in the NHL. The Winnipeg forward extended his point streak to 15 as he scored twice to give him 43 goals on the season. He is now tied with Alex Ovechkin for the league lead.  The Jets 4-2 win was their 43rd on the season which ties a franchise record

---Former Warriors goalie Zach Sawchenko stopped 24 shots as the University of Alberta won the USports men's hockey championship beating St FX 4-2  New Brunswick beat the U of S Huskies 5-4 to take the bronze.  Manitoba won the women's hockey crown beating Western 2-0 with the Huskies losing the bronze medal game 4-0 to Concordia

--From 64 to 16.  It is anyone's guess as to who will win the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament after a weekend of wild games and wild finishes.  Xavier joined Virginia as number one seeds not making it to the Sweet 16 after getting beat by Florida State.  While many big names are out, names like Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky remain.

--Tiger Woods faltered down the stretch and finished 5th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Next up for Tiger is the Masters. He hasn't played the tournament since he tied for 17th in 2015. A four-time Masters winner, his last victory there was in 2005. Rory McIlroy was the winner at Bay Hill finishing eight ahead of Tiger with a score of 18 under.
