Time To Play The Role Of Brendan Taman

If what is being reported is true, the Riders have 27 free agents.

The potential free agents include: Tristan Jackson, Tyron Brackenridge, Rod Williams, Carlos Thomas, Woodny Turenne, Brandon Boudreaux, Trevor Guyton, Hilee Taylor, Ricky Foley, Tearrius George, Tim Cronk, Neal Hughes, Kevin Regimbald, Brian Peters, Sam Hurl, Diamond Ferri, Tristan Black, Chad Rempel, Josh Bartel, Dan Clark, Ben Heenan, Kerry Joseph, Tino Sunseri, Jerome Messam, Scott McHenry, Korey Williams and Weston Dressler.

Obviously, Kerry Joseph will not be back, but there are a lot of big names on that list who won't come cheap. Who stays and who goes?

Foley, Dressler, Brackenridge, Heenan only ones I would sign for sure. Foley and Dressler are no brainers, If we can find a Canadian safety then Brackenridge becomes debatable, Heenan is still a work in progress at Tackle.

I think the bigger question here is how does Taman/ODay allow 27 players to become free agents? That is a ridiculous number and one has to expect some marquee names will be gone.

The window may have closed when it comes to a GC talented team.

Tino is a FA. It will be interesting to see if the Riders have any interest in bringing him back after his up and down season. Is Price back?

Taman should resign and get out of town.

I was sure that Foley had recently signed an extension with the Riders.

Must - Brackenridge,Foley, George, Heenan

Desirable - Dressler, Jackson, Peters

I think Korey Williams has lots of promise as well.

The rest - no opinion. Priority number one has not be finding a capable back-up to Durant.

To anon after JN....lets hear your brilliant ideas instead of just calling for a resignation. If you are a Taman hater, please tell us how you would do what will be no easy feat.

The Riders had the third best record in win/loss in 2014, so there is cause to question all aspects of the team.

Will Wally Buono be fired? If so, would he want to come to Sask to work in player personnel? I doubt it.

I think that the Taman/O'Day/Smith team have the skill to move the team forward after failing to win back to back Grey Cups. Always a tough thing to do.

Why wait? Fire Taman imediately before its too late and let the next Gm clean up his mess ASAP ala Mr. Roy Shivers did for a previous inept BS administration. Matter of fact, bring back Mr. Shivers and give him the keys to the whole Roughriders football organization operations. He has the prerequisite connections and experience, plus having actually played the game himself, he knows football.

I'm not JN, just another poster.

The first free agent he should sign is Brett Jones from the Stamps. But that would be admitting he screwed up in the draft.
