Week 6 CFL Stars Of the Week

With the CFL abandoning its stars of the week and going with performers of the week, I give you my stars of the week

OFFENCE- Zach Collaros - Hamilton

The Tiger-Cats quarterback did a great job of dissecting a good Toronto defence Monday night going 21 of 27 for 229 yards and three touchdowns as Hamilton improved to 3-2 to sit in a 3 way tie for first in the East.

DEFENCE - Pat Watkins - Edmonton

The Eskimos defensive back intercepted two passes taking one back for a touchdown in the Edmonton's win over the Riders. He also had a sack as he and the rest of the Eskimo defence made life miserable for Brett Smith and Tino Sunseri,

CANADIAN - Andrew Harris - BC

The Lions didn't beat the Bombers in Winnipeg, but it wasn't because of Harris. The running back had 167 all-purpose yards (117 rushing, 50 receiving) in the 23-13 loss to the Bombers. Harris has obviously bounced back from a bad 2014 which ended early due to injury.

SPECIAL TEAMS - Brandon Stewart - Hamilton

If a Ti-Cats player is going to get a special teams player of the week, you would think it would be Brandon Banks, but Stewart got the Ti-Cats rolling in their win over the Argos by picking up a huge touchdown to get the team going early in the 1st quarter by lining up onside on a punt that he turned into a touchdown thanks to confusion from the Argos special teams.

I agree I like the way Scruffy is posting his players of the week. The CFL version is as bad as the change to national and international.
