Patrick Signs Extension

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have signed import safety James Patrick to a contract extension. Financial terms of the signing were not released.

Patrick led the CFL in 2010 with nine interceptions for 195 yards and one touchdown. In 18 regular season games played he also tallied 68 defensive tackles, seven special team tackles, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

Since originally signing with the Riders as a free agent in 2008, Patrick has played in 53 regular season games for the Green and White. In that time he has added136 defensive tackles, 31 special team tackles, 13 interceptions for a totaled 253 yards and one touchdown and four fumble recoveries.

The 28-year-old was heading into his option year in the 2011 season.
