Argos Pull Ad Campaign

The Toronto Argonauts have decided to pull an advertising campaign after complaints that it promotes domestic violence. What do you think?

David Bedford, the Argos vice-president of marketing and communications, said the team never thought the posters, which went up on June 20, would be viewed in the context of domestic violence.
“It’s very clear it’s a football player in a football uniform talking about promoting the opening game for a football team,” Bedford said on Tuesday before the advertisement was pulled. “I think it’s pretty common knowledge that football is a contact sport and a physical game. We didn’t look at it in the context of domestic violence and we probably should have, given that we’ve had a handful of complaints.”

Complaints from people who have never seen footbal, but strive to lobotomize all aspects of society in the name of political corretness. Pathetic.

I don't like or dislike it. However, I really like the "All hands on deck". That's a great rally cry.
