Another NHL Season Is Upon Us

It doesn't seem like that long ago that Vancouver burned while Boston celebrated with the Stanley Cup. The time for celebration is over and as its time to begin another season. Can the Bruins repeat and win the hardest trophy in pro sports for a 2nd straight year. There will be many twists and turns over the next few months and with just hours to go before the season begins, predictions are being made. For what its worth, here's what I've got

SC Final--Sabres over Kings
Final Four--Sabres, Lightning, Kings, Blackhawks
Division Winners --Boston, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Vancouver, Chicago, San Jose

MVP--Jonathan Toews-Chicago
Vezina--Ryan Miller-Buffalo
Norris-Shea Weber-Nashville
Rookie-Mark Scheifele-Winnipeg
Goals Leader-Steve Stamkos-Tampa Bay
Points Leader-Daniel Sedin-Vancouver

Disappointing Team--Washington
Surprising Team--Winnipeg

1st Coach To Get Axe -- Ron Wilson-Toronto

Interesting picks Mitchell. Winnipeg will be an interesting situation. Going from 4000 to 15000 fans in attendance will get them an extra 4-5 wins this season.

I agree with you on Wilson, but I disagree on your Cup pick. LA doesn't have the goaltending and Buffalo doesn't have the offence. Pittsburgh will be there if Sid is healthy by December 1 and they will play Vancouver again.

Never, ever count out the Red Wings

I can't see the Jets making the playoffs. When you look at it honestly, they are the Atlanta Thrashers and they were a bad hockey team.
