Football Saskatchewan is proud to announce, in partnership with the Regina Thunder Football Club, the University of
Regina Rams, the Saskatoon Hilltops and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, a special celebration of Elite football
programs in Saskatchewan.
On October 1, 2016, the all four of the province’s Elite male football programs will be playing in Regina. At 2pm, the
University of Regina Rams will be hosting the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in the first ever event at the new
Mosaic Stadium. The event has recently sold out with 16,500 fans expected in attendance.
Following that game, another provincial rivalry game will take place as the Regina Thunder will host the Saskatoon
Hilltops at old Mosaic Stadium at 7pm. This will be the last regular season game between these two historic franchises at
the old Mosaic Stadium.
Football Saskatchewan is encouraging all fans to celebrate football in Saskatchewan by planning to attend both events.
There will also be a special tail gate party taking place on the Plaza of Honor Courtyard (West side of old Mosaic
Stadium) between the two games (4:30pm-7:00pm). There will be a beer garden, food trucks, music and more.
“The rare occasion where we have two stadiums available in the city has allowed for the opportunity to spotlight these
four teams,” says Director of Football Operations at Football Saskatchewan, Mike Thomas. “These are two of the best
football rivalries in the country and fans will have a chance to see them both on October 1.”
Information on the Rams/Huskies game can be found at reginarams.com. Tickets are sold out. Tickets for the
Thunder/Hilltops game can be purchased at the gate starting at 5pm on October 1. Regular ticket prices are in effect
(Adults $15, Students/Seniors $10, Elementary Students $5, 5 and under FREE).
Also patrons can also purchase a ticket in Football Saskatchewan’s All in to Win Fall Lottery, where they will be giving
away Three Major Prizes in their main draw valued at over $60,000 combined, including a brand new 2016 Ford F150
XLT from Jubilee Ford, plus an added chance to win in our 50/50 add-on draw, where we award 50% of the pool to one
lucky winner. This year we expect our 2016 50/50 winner COULD WIN UP TO $50,000.00.

It's a real shame the city or whoever screwed the Thunder out of playing the Hilltops at the new stadium.
This is just a reason why the Thunder should call Leibel Field home permanently.
