Mullinder Goes To Montreal

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired import receiver Dallas Baker from the Montreal Alouettes. In exchange non-import defensive end Luc Mullinder has been sent to the Alouettes.
Baker (6’3” – 210 lbs) joined the CFL when he signed as a free agent with the Alouettes in April. So far this season the 28-year-old has three receptions for 29 yards.

The Florida product was originally drafted in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was later released by the Steelers in 2009. After that, Baker went on to play the 2010 season with the AFL’s Jacksonville Sharks.

Sheri Trapp's Twitter feed says this is going to be the start of a long day in Riderville. I'm thinking this isn't the first move we are going to hear about.

Ummmm. Am I the only one shaking my head at this deal? Who is Dallas Baker? A lot of people have moaned and groaned about Mullinder, but now who plays DE. This one is strange.

Trading for a receiver just days after one came open in Hamilton. Did the Riders offer Mullinder for AB3? I wasn't the biggest Mullinder fan, but giving him up for someone I've never heard before is not the brightest move in my mind.

Good riddance. The guy was always tweeting a bunch of BS slamming the fans and I quote after the Montreal win "I hope y'all can swim" in reference to the bandwagon jumpers. Chunky Adams straightened him out and said focus on what's at hand, not the fans. This guy can tweet with the jerk of CFL Rob Murphy now.

Taman and this whole coaching staff should be the ones traded although I was not a Mullinder fan at all. Please Taman do not trade away whats looking to be the first overall draft pick before your canned.
