Lions To Honor Geroy

The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that former Lions great, Geroy Simon will be recognized by the club with an induction onto the organization’s prestigious Ring of Honour on Friday, July 25 versus the Winnipeg Blue Bombers presented by Telus.

Simon, the long-serving BC Lions slotback and future Hall of Famer who is both the club’s and the CFL’s all-time leading receiver announced his retirement from football earlier this month.

“Geroy will forever be remembered as a BC Lion and his induction onto our Ring of Honour is the most prestigious recognition that our organization can bestow upon him,” said president and CEO Dennis Skulsky. “Geroy’s legendary accomplishments on the field were matched only by his contributions to our community away from the game and I know fans of the Lions and Geroy will want to be part of this very special event.”

The official Ring of Honour induction ceremony will take place during halftime of the team’s home game versus the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday, July 25
