Regina Pats forward Sam Steel has been recognized by the WHL for his play by being named the player of the month for September/October.

The 18 year old missed the first two games of the season as he was at the camp of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, but in his 11 games with the team, he had 22 points to sit 4th in league scoring.  Steel and the rest of the 10-0-3-0 Pats are home Wednesday to Kootenay.
