The Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition will be organized and executed by the same company that does the NHL All Star Game SuperSkills Competition.

The Pats will be joined in the competition by a Hockey Regina Pee Wee team as well as members of the local media: 620 CKRM Sports Director Rod Pedersen, CTV Sports Director Lee Jones and from Global Sports Derek Meyers. The afternoon will be hosted by Bill and Ballsy from “The Manhole Show” on 104.9 The Wolf.

Admission to the 1st annual Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition is free with a donation to the Regina and Area Food Bank.

“ The Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition will be a fun and exciting event for our players, fans, and the Hockey Regina players that will participate in the event.” Regina Pats President, Brent Parker continues, “The day will be patterned after the NHL event which has become so popular over the years and will be similar to the one we ran at the 1998 WHL All Star Game here in Regina. We hope that it will allow our fans the opportunity to interact with our players and to see them in a fun and relaxed atmosphere while they showcase their skills. We are grateful to our sponsor Prairie Mobile for participating in this day and aiding us in staging this unique event”

“In the ever changing sports market, the Regina Pats are proud to lead the way in creating a unique and entertaining product in Regina.” Regina Pats Vice-President of Operations Cliff Mapes continues, “The Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition will showcase the individual talents of the Regina Pats as well as helping two important pillars of the community in the Regina Food Bank and Hockey Regina.”
