Fantuz Survives First Cut

The Chicago Bears aren't utilizing Andy Fantuz, but he is sticking around a while longer. The Bears released five players today to get down to the mandatory 80 and Fantuz was not one of the five. However, the Bears and all NFL teams must be down to a 53 man limit by Saturday meaning they have to chop 27 players and with the way Fantuz has been (or hasn't been) used in pre-season, I would have to think his chances of making the team remain slim.

I wish the Bears would quit jerking Andy around and just release him. It's obvious that he is just a "camp body". He has seen very limited time in preseason, only getting in a game in the last 3 min. All politics down there! I'm sure his bank account could use a boost by now. 1 catch for 6 yrds. Yipee! C'mon home Andy....where you're needed.

I could see Fantuz being cut on, or by Saturday, then waiting a week or so to see if he might be picked up by another team before he considers coming back to the CFL.

Who cares. This story is beyond old now. Cmon Mitch, you're better than this.

Andy will be here for the Banjo Bowl to make us that much stronger.

Mitch is just doing his job reporting on a story. That's why he gets paid the big bucks. Are you that unhappy to complain about something so trivial? Yeesh.
