Brendan Taman says the Saskatchewan Roughriders are standing behind their beleaguered head coach. After a second report about Corey Chamblin's immediate future with the football team was delivered over the weekend by Winnipeg Free Press reporter/TSN insider Gary Lawless stating Taman was to meet with Craig Reynolds on Sunday with the topic being the firing of Chamblin, Taman stood before the media on Monday to say that is not the case.
Taman says he has not asked for permission to fire Chamblin and he has the support of Reynolds and the Rider board.
Taman did the say the team is looking at everything as they assess their 0-6 start to the season, but the mood in the room is still positive and no one is pushing the panic button.
The Riders try to get into the win column for the first time in 2015 this weekend in Toronto.

I really don't think relieving Chamblin now would do a great deal of good, but he may have to go at the end of the season and Taman may have to follow.
There isn't one intelligent Rider fan who would have seen this one year ago.
Gary Lawless has lost all credibility.

Love how that one bad batch of fans went nuts about this all weekend for nothing.
That's a shame.
If anybody is thinking that Taman's endorsement of Chamblin will pacify the lynch mob it won't. Now they'll want a double hanging and I'm with them.
There isn't one intelligent Rider fan that doesn't realize that injuries do matter and that is the problem. If we had Durant healthy and could cut the six game injury list down to two or three, we would not be having this controversy. We would be right in the hunt. Hard to be a successful coach when you are down to your third string QB.
I agree anonymous #8. They can get tossed into the Pasqua Lake Regina sewer trap as far as I'm concerned. Take every NDP'er in Alberta with them.
