Week 8 CFL Draftkings Picks

Going into Week 8, I'm 4-3 and on a two week win streak. Let's try for three in a row.

QUARTERBACK - BO LEVI MITCHELL $11000

Yes, when the Riders are giving up many points, this would seem like a logical choice, but there is a method behind the madness. I actually think this game will be like last week's and will be close going into the 4th quarter. Last week, the Stamps got their game going in the 4th resulting in Bo Levi handing off to Messam thus killing the chance to get any points. I don't see that happening this week as BLM will be throwing the ball well into the 4th quarter and perhaps till the end. I'm not saying the Riders win meaning Mitchell has to keep throwing, but I am saying he won't cut himself off by killing the clock at the end.  If you want to gamble and go more expensive elsewhere, how can you not like Zach Collaros as he makes his return to the Hamilton lineup.

RUNNING BACK -  JOHN WHITE  $7300

I'm not spilling any secrets when I say the running game has disappeared in the CFL. One team has given up more than 100 yards on the ground this year and that team is the Montreal Alouettes. The Edmonton offence isn't purring the way it was at the start of the season. Expect White to see more of the rock as Mike Reilly looks to mix it up.

WIDE RECEIVER -  LUKE TASKER  $8300

Ottawa has the bye, and as mentioned, Mike Reilly's production has dropped over the past couple of weeks. While Hamilton will be a better team the moment Zach Collaros steps on the field, the biggest beneficiary of that return could be Tasker. He is Collaros' favourite target and you know these guys will be looking to renew that relationship against the Lions.  I also like Emmanuel Arceneaux, Duron Carter and on a hunch, Ricky Collins.

DEFENCE - ESKIMOS  - $4900

The Alouettes are having a tough time scoring (if you don't count the Riders game) and I see that trend continuing in Edmonton against an Eskimo team that admittedly is nowhere close to being what they were last year.  The Eskimos will win this game, and I think they hold Montreal to under 21. That should be good enough to rack up some points especially if the green and gold can add a special teams touchdown or some points on defence.
