What's The Matter Chipper???

Atlanta Braves 3rd baseman Chipper Jones must be glad that his team is not playing the Toronto Blue Jays this year. Jones--a member of Team USA at the World Baseball Classic--will not be working part-time for the Toronto Chamber of Commerce after comments he made about the city. Here's what he had to say....

We stayed in Toronto for a week and played three games. I don’t know if you ever stayed in Toronto, but it’s not exactly Las Vegas. To say that we were plucking our eyebrows out one at a time would be an understatement.”

Hey Chip. I'm not a big fan of the self proclaimed center of the universe but Toronto is a great city to visit. Did you walk down Yonge Street?? Did you check out the CN Tower??? Did you visit the Hockey Hall of Fame??? Lets tell the truth here Larry. (Chipper's real name if you didn't know---and by the way what 30 plus year old man goes through life with people referring to you as Chipper)You were crap at the World Baseball Classic going 0 for 10 at the plate with six strikeouts. Your career is in a downslide. I would much rather walk the streets of downtown Toronto and check out the nightlife than I would in Atlanta--a city that also doesn't remind me of Las Vegas. Maybe you should have gone out and enjoyed yourself. Didn't Jeter and company invite you down to "The Brass Rail". If you couldn't find anything to do in Toronto on your days off, maybe just like on the field, you were doing the same thing off the field and that is you weren't trying. I got two words for you Chipper. One rhymes with Truck and the other rhymes with Cough!!!

The Jays should now make a trade to bring Chipper to Toronto. That would make for some bigtime backpedalling.
