What Did You Miss Saturday?

--The Swift Current Broncos were in danger of losing the first two games on home ice in the WHL final.  After dropping the opener Friday, they found themselves down 3-0 after two periods in Game 2.

The Broncos tied it late on a Tyler Steenburgen goal, and then Giorgio Estephan completed the comeback scoring near the midway point of overtime for a 4-3 win.  The series resumes in Everett Tuesday with Games 4 and 5 also being played there

-- It will be Monday night mayhem in Winnipeg. The Jets can move into the NHL's Western Conference final with a win after a 6-2 win in Nashville to take Game 5 and a 3-2 series lead in their 2nd round playoff matchup. Kyle Connor had his first two goals of the playoffs.   Washington has Pittsburgh on the verge of elimination after a 6-3 win.  The Caps lead that best-of-seven 3-2.

--Boston Bruins defenceman Torey Krug  will miss the remainder of the team's second round series with the Tampa Bay Lightning after sustaining an ankle injury in Game 4.  It is not known what his status would be if the Bruins move on to the 3rd round.  They trail Tampa 3-1 going into Game 5 on Sunday.

--No team in the NBA has ever won a playoff series when down 3-0.  Thanks to Lebron James, that is the situation the Raptors find themselves in.   James hit a buzzer beater to give Cleveland a 108-105 wun over Toronto in Game 3 of their 2nd round playoff series. The Raptors had tied it with eight seconds to play to complete a comeback that had seen them down 16.

--St. Louis Cardinals catch Yadier Molina is going to miss about a month of action.  Molina took a 102 mile per hour pitch in the groin during a game Saturday against the Cubs.  Molina laid on the ground for several minutes in immense pain before slowly walking off the field and exiting the game.

Perfect day. The Broncos, Jets and Capitals all won plus the Raptors lost. Priceless.
