Canada 3 Sweden 0 -- Getting Up Was Worth It
Goals by Jonathan Toews, Sidney Crosby and Regina's Chris Kunitz gave Team Canada a 3-0 win over Sweden in the gold medal mens hockey game at the Sochi Olympics as the event ends on a high for Canada for the 2nd straight Olympics.
The Canadian defense was once again the story as Carey Price did not have to work hard for his 2nd straight shutout making 24 saves.
Canada did not trail at any point in the final or over the course of the entire tournament and finished as the first undefeated gold medallist since the Soviet Union in 1984 in Sarajevo, beating Norway, Austria, Finland, Latvia, the United States and Sweden along the way.

Domination! Pure domination. Has Canada ever iced a better international team than this? It wasn't easy, but the last two games sure looked like it.
I thought goaltending would be our weakness, but thanks to our defence it didn't matter. What a great day to be Canadian!

Don't overlook the fact that Price was huge whenever they needed him. We now know who Canada's starting goalie will be in the up coming World Cup in a couple of years.
You can say whatever you want about Crosby, but he finds a way to score the big goal in the biggest of games. Once he scored it was over.
Smith and Subban should have been embarrassed to be out there. Yes they are members of the team, but what did they do in all honesty?

Come' on Brad - show some Canadian Spirit ! You would trade them places in a heartbeat !! or maybe you have never been part of a Team.
Really Brad , why should they be embarrassed , they were part of the team , everybody from doctors to trainers helped win for the "team"
