Eric Tillman Promoted To General Manager in Hamilton

Kent Austin, Vice-President of Football Operations and Head Coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, announced Friday that Eric Tillman has been named the team’s General Manager. He also announced the promotions of Drew Allemang to Assistant General Manager and Director of Canadian Scouting, and Shawn Burke to Assistant General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

“Eric has a wealth of experience and knowledge with respect to the game of football and the Canadian Football League, and has been a great resource for us the past three seasons,” said Austin. “He will now be based out of our Hamilton office and we felt the need to better define his role with the club as his involvement increases moving forward.”

Tillman, who was hired by the Tiger-Cats as a consultant in 2013, has served as Hamilton’s Director of U.S. Scouting and U.S. Pro Personnel since 2014. The veteran CFL executive was previously a General Manager with the B.C. Lions (1993-95: 31-22-1), Toronto Argonauts (1997, 1999: 24-12), the expansion Ottawa Renegades (2002-03: 11-25), Saskatchewan Roughriders (2006-09: 39-23-1) and Edmonton Eskimos (2010-12: 23-21), posting a combined record of 128-103-2 with a .554 winning percentage.

The Jackson, Mississippi native’s accomplishments as a GM include being the architect of three Grey Cup championship teams in 1994 (B.C.), 1997 (Toronto) and 2007 (Saskatchewan), an 11-7 career postseason record, and inheriting a 2-8 Eskimos team in 2010 that would post a record of 23-21 during his tenure in Edmonton. He was also Executive Director of the Senior Bowl, a showcase of the top graduating players from U.S. Collegiate football, from 1984 to 1992.

Austin added, “Eric, Drew and Shawn have helped form a high quality football operations staff with a balance of experience, knowledge, work ethic and an ability to thoroughly evaluate talent. Today’s announcement only strengthens that resolve, and further emphasizes our commitment to stability and continuity within our organization.”

I'd expect a sleazy comment from Darren Hansford also known as Bingo_Arms. He's the five foot five internet chimpanzee obsessed with bashing Tillman and yourself as you know. He's a strange and disturbed character with bizarre fixations on Mitchell Blair and Eric Tillman who tries to pass himself off as the owner of this blog, Mitchell Blair, as well on public forums.

Disturbed doesn't even start to describe that guy.

I've said this before but I went to school with Hansford. He's still the same and obviously hasn't done any growing up. He'd get into trouble all the time and get beaten up a lot because he was always making everyone so mad at him. The mouth on that guy. I'm not surprised he's turned into a twisted net ghoul. Darren's stabs at Mitchell Blair and his attempts to be him are a sign that something is still really wrong with him.

Why would Kent give up GM duties? Is it too much?

Who is Darren Hansford and why should I care?

Ha haha. I know Darren Hansford too. I also can say that he is Bingo Arms on Rider fans for sure. I don't consider him a friend. I consider him a loser. What he does to Mitchell Blair just goes to show how much of a loser he is. I doubt Mitchell Blair even knows him yet Hansford still internet stalks him.
