The
Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired international quarterback Jake
Waters from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for a negotiation
list player.
Waters
(6’1
– 210) is currently in his first CFL season after signing with Hamilton
in April, 2016. The 24-year-old Iowa native has dressed in all three
games this season for the
Tiger-Cats as a backup quarterback.
Last
season, Waters attended training camp with the Seattle Seahawks after
signing with the team in August. He had originally signed as
an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in May, 2015.
Before
going pro, Waters spent two seasons at Kansas State where he completed
421 of 657 pass attempts for 5,970 yards and 40 touchdowns
in 26 collegiate games.

if jones and murphy had any connections in the states or even any scouting skills they wouldn't have to keep picking up other teams rejects. he is a reject - he didn't get traded because he is so good

How do you think Leonard, Newsome and Collins became Roughriders?
Probably Jones and Murphy are searching for a QB because O'Day told them that Smith was the answer.
I have total faith in Jones and Murphy. O'Day not so much, if Jones has made a mistake it was keeping O'Day around.
This is going to be a real football team in mighty short order.
Leonard, Newsome and Collins became Roughriders because ones and murphy had to hold what 25 - 30 tryout camps because they had no contacts or scouting system and still don't.
As for O'Day he forgot more about football than jones or murphy will ever know. Oh yes he also graduated out of high school, university and played pro ball and was an all star - jones and murphy they just wish they had accomplished any of the them.
One thing that was shown very clearly in last nights game other than it was jones fault that the riders lost with his stupid choices is that he is a very very very stupid coach
Although 2015 was not a good year for the riders at least they had a great offense - this year they have nothing

If the Riders keep the ultra expensive Chick and Dressler those outstanding rookies Leonard, Newsome and Collins don't even get on the field because that's two defensive ends and a receiver.

as usual people are giving jones the credit for something he had nothing to do with.

Yo mamma! The only place o'day graduated from was grade 3 twice to equal a grade 6 level plus ta man school where they didn't know the difference between a CFL football from a Aussi rugby ball so they ordered the rugby ball those goofs. By the way, your name doesn't happen to be be duefee? Is it?
