A Slight Change-Up

Usually Mondays I ask you what the best and worst of the sports weekend was. There's no doubt as to what the best part was (and I guess worst if you're a Calgary fan). That being said, there were many moments to remember at Mosaic yesterday. What was the one memory you take away from that game whether you were there or not. If there was something that made you mad on the weekend sportswise, feel free to mention it here too.

For me, the best part was talking to Neal Hughes on the field when it was over with the fireworks going off and the crowd going nuts. Neal looked like a 4 year old on Christmas morning who looks under the tree and sees the present he asked Santa for sitting there. By the way, he tells me that he is making room in his bed to sleep with the Grey Cup again. (Please no tape of what goes on!!)

It was outstanding to see many of the Riders if not all of them go to one part of the stands or all around to celebrate with the fans. I didn't get a chance to high five anybody, but the players know how much the fans mean to them and for those players to recognize those fans was outstanding. GO RIDERS!!!

The best: the backside screen pass that turned into a Getzlaf touchdown. Besides the 7 points, that play eliminated a lot of the pressure Calgary was able to create up to that point.

The worst: Cincinnati finding a way to eliminate my $75 proline winnings by losing to Oakland ... OAKLAND ... are kidding me!

Having Lewis SHUT UP that's right Nik the Riders do know who the better team is.

The crowd at the end of the game. I've been going to Rider games since 1986 and I don't think its ever been louder. You are one step away gentlemen and that last step is a big one. You can do it.

The best memory about the Rider win was Coach Miller's walk to meet Hufnagel. usually he was stoic, but yesterday he was pumping his fists going "Yeah". Nice to see coach show some exuberance. I expect more on Sunday if the good deed happens.
