Rimouski Oceanic forward Patrice Cormier will be the captain of Canada's team at the World Juniors. The Cap-Pele, New Brunswick native is the first player from that province to be given the distinction in the history of the Canadian junior program. Five players will share the assistant captain duties. Two of those five are Regina Pats Jordan Eberle and Colten Teubert.
The Canadian squad plays Sweden Sunday night in a pre-tournament game at the Brandt Centre in a 7 o'clock start. The game will be on TSN2.
