The Riders looked good in winning their season opener, but arguably, they looked better AS A TEAM in dominating the B.C. Lions 37-18 Saturday night.
Just some thoughts....
--Brent Hawkins showed us why the coaches are so high on him
--Darian Durant just continues to get better and better
--I feel bad for Wayne Smith and wonder if his career might be over after his 2nd straight season-ending injury
--What was Paul McCallum doing? I might have a better 40 than Paul
--Hugh Charles has to stay on the 42 man roster
--TSN needs better camera people in Vancouver
--Mike McCullough just gets the job done
--Dominique Dorsey is not scaring anyone on returns. Its too late to get Thigpen back though
--What is Weston Dressler made of? He just gets hit and hit and hit and he keeps bouncing up.
--Wally Buono made some dumb, dumb coaching decisions
--I love the halfback blitz
--Empire Field looked beautiful, but what happens when game night is rain night in "The Coov"

Wally made many dumb coaching moves tonight. None dumber than losing 10 yards on the re-punt.
Who is the idiot that designed the stadium so that BC gets the sunny side of the field. DUHHHHHHH!!!
After this one, I think its safe to say we have lost a "Chick", but we found a "Hawk".

-The cheaters who run the timeclock in BC Place must have gotten the job at Empire Fields. Down by 30 and still trying to add seconds- what a group of losers.
I don't know what production was worse. The TSN TV broadcast or the CKRM radio one. Both organizations should be ashamed of their Saturday presentation.
