If you are in your mid 40's, you know that you ran home during lunch hour to catch the adventures of Fred and Barney. That is of course until CTV pulled the plug on it. Damn you CTV!!!!
What was your favourite Flintstone episode? I think mine was when they suspected their neighbour Alvin Brickrock had killed his wife in a rather Alfred Hitchcockian mode. The line of the show came to Barney (one of the great actors of our time) when he says to Fred after picking up a book that says "Archeology". "His name isn't Alvin Brickrock," Barney concludes. "Its Archie-Oogly. Classic!!

Ironically Stoney Curtis passed away today, and that was a good one. Stoney gets Fred in the movies as "Slave Boy", and they don't have the budget to use fake boulders or clubs, and he takes a beating.
My favourites have to be the following:
1) When Fred has to go back to school to get his diploma, but gets recruited for the Football team. He is then known as Fred "Twinkle Toes" Flintstone. He's exhausted playing football, going to school, working and he's half asleep calling plays in the huddle, but they are actually math equations. He goes to the malt shop with the kids, and it's "go Freddy go, go, go go".
2)Fred is recruited to be a Jury Foreman for "The Mangler" trial, and as he convicts him the Mangler attacks him, and he has to go into witness protection.
3) Hatrocks and Flintstone feud is really good. It all started with a Flintstone saying, "I don't know what the Painter got for that, but if you ask me he should have got life".
4) The Masquerade Ball where the costumes get switched and Fred unknowingly tells off a disguised Mr. Slate by saying, "My Boss, Slate is the Vice President of the moron section of the knucklehead club". "If he knew how many times I was at home eating supper before that 5:00 whistle he'd blow his penny pinching stack". Of course he gets called into the office the next day, and gets called out for it.
5) This Rockabilly Singer has an allergic reaction to devilled eggs so Fred has to take his place and sing the epic song, "there's a town I know where the hipsters go called Bedrock twitch twitch".
6) The James Bondrock spoof was a good one to. When that played at lunch everyone would come back and it was "Judo chop chop".

Very sweet moment at the last Rider game when the classic "Happy Anniversary" song was played over the PA - the winning pick in the select the right song contest.

Heck, I'm 23 and I remember Flintstones at lunch hour. I used to watch it before leaving for afternoon kindergarten.
Remember when Counciller Joe McEwan tryed to get it banned because of an episode he said was racist? Good nation press for city council.
Betty or Wilma? (I'm a Betty guy myself)
