Sportsnet's Arash Madani, who can also be heard on 620 CKRM's Sportscage twice a week, is all over the Riders coaching search. Madani is reporting this morning that Hamilton defensive co-ordinator Corey Chamblin, who is a favourite for the job, was interviewed on Monday and that the interview went well. Madani also reports Winnipeg defensive co-ordinator Tim Burke and BC defensive co-ordinator Mike Benavides are also scheduled to be interviewed in the next few days. It is not known exactly how many people have been interviewed by Riders GM Brendan Taman.
I'm sure Arash will have more info today when he sits in with Rod on the Cage from 5-7.

Even if he doesn't know anything he'll make something up. Just like Naylor over the weekend with Milanovich and Toronto. Turns out nothing has been done about the Argo job but you won't see Naylor retracting the story. Talk about the European Paperatzi(sp), our Canadian sports reporters are absolutely classless.
Where there's smoke, there's fire. The only thing I don't like Chamblin is what Lynch said yesterday and that is he would bring Rick Worman with him as OC. That would be horrible! I'd much rather have Khari Jones or Danny Mac than Rick Worman!

If the Riders can score even an average offensive coordinator, and add a true quarterbacks-specific coach on top of that, putting up points won't be an issue next year the way it was this year. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point with exactly who it is.
The Hamilton football program has been mediocre in recent years, so if I was GM, I would look to plucking an assistant coach from a Grey Cup champ team like the Lions, a team with a winning culture of late. Teams that took coaches from the Riders have seen good things - ie Lapolice and Reid.
Rick Worman would be an improvement over last years OC. We need a QB to help DD and Worman may be able to mentor DD. I don't have a problem with him. Why do some others? Oh right he was from some other team or other chicken sh*t idea.
I saw your Danny Barrett tweet to Arash. Any idea who the NCAA coaches are that Taman is interviewing? I guarantee its not guys like Sarkisian, Tedford or Riley. You weren't serious when you said Turner Gill were you?
