Ti-Cats Fire Bellefeuille
From Ticats.ca
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Marcel Bellefeuille has been relieved of his duties as head coach.
“We would like to thank Coach Bellefeuille for his efforts during his time with our organization. He represented the Tiger-Cats with pride and passion, and has left the organization in a much better place than when he started with us. However, we feel this move is necessary in order to reach our ultimate goal of winning a Grey Cup,” said General Manager Bob O’Billovich.
Bellefeuille has served as head coach of the Ticats since September 8, 2008 after originally joining the team as offensive coordinator in December of 2007.

So now I have to ask the question. Is Marcel in the mix for the Riders head job?

I hope not! I couldn't stand him when he was here. He's awful. I felt bad for the Ti-cats that they had to suffer under him for the last few years. Under performing team this last year, similar to the riders.
How many different ways can I say NO!!
I hate to say it, but I'd rather have Danny Barrett back.
Brad
This may mean Chamblin gets promoted in Hamilton. That would be fine with me.
Is there any chance Barresi could wind up back in Regina since he's been let go in Wpg.
Jim
Just say NO!! Hamilton management went out of their way to sign lots of free agents to win it all this year and they still went 8-10! You should be able to win with Rey Williams, Cobourne, Baggs, Chris Williams etc. Also, Medlock is great. Can you say UNDERACHIEVED?
Greg Marshall maybe HC in Hamilton? Riders would then be off the hook for his salary.
Lots of assistants will be getting head coaching jobs soon. Where will all these new assistant coaches come from? Guys like Barren Simpson, Doug Brown, Kerry Joesph should throw their hats in the ring. Heck, teams could use football brains from the media world too - Milt Steigal, Matt Dunigan, Arash Madani, Chris Shultz, and Regina's own John Lynch and Mitchell Blair (just kidding - wait instead for GM vacancies) need to step up.
Why oh why are you asking this. The answer has got to be NO!! Then again, this is Brendan Taman we are talking about.
It really doesn't matter who the head coach is here next year. 2012 is already a write-off with Taman running the team. Only thing Taman is going to run, is this team more into the ground than it already is.
Too many good candidates out there to consider him as a head coach. The recycling of former head coaches has to stop. New blood is needed and is getting found in Toronto and hopefully Hamilton.
