Riders Announce New RB Coach

Saskatchewan Roughriders Head Coach Corey Chamblin announced today that Avon Cobourne has joined the teams staff as running backs coach for the 2014 season.

Cobourne joins the coaching ranks following a standout seven year Canadian Football League career. The product of West Virginia University played five seasons with the Montreal Alouettes after originally signing with the team prior to the 2006 season. He played his final two seasons in Hamilton after signing with the Tiger-Cats as a free agent in 2011.

The 35-year-old Cobourne is a two-time Grey Cup champion (2009, 2010) and was named 2009 Grey Cup Most Outstanding Player. He is also a three time East Division all-star (2008, 2009, 2012) also being named a CFL all-Star in 2009 after posting a career high 1,214 yards rushing.

Perhaps Coburn should be suiting up instead of coaching

He's going to be pretty lonely when he isn't coaching anyone. Can he still play?

Anon 2 says what I am thinking. He might as well play since we don't have anyone right now thanks to Taman not going out and finding us anyone knowing Sheets might leave. Did he lose his napkins?
