Suspensions coming Tuesday From Jays-Rangers Brawl

Chief baseball officer Joe Torre expects to levy punishments for Sunday’s altercation between the Blue Jays and Rangers on Tuesday.

Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor is likely looking at the heftiest punishment for throwing punches, one of which landed flush on the cheek of  Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista. Bautista, who slid late into Odor, will also likely be suspended.

Matt Bush, who started the whole thing by hitting Bautista with a fastball, may join the others with a suspension. Jesse Chavez drilled Prince Fielder in the ribs with a fastball, starting a second benches-clearing fracas, and that might earn him some down time. Managers Jeff Banister and John Gibbons could be slapped on the wrist for letting things escalate. Gibbons had been tossed out of the game earlier for arguing balls and strikes and came back on the field so his suspension could be longer,

Many others were involved, including Josh Donaldson and Kevin Pillar, but word is  The list of fines levied, however, could get pretty lengthy.
