The Fort McMurray Giants will be playing ball when the 2016 Western Major Baseball League begins, but they will be playing in Edmonton.
The Giants and the Edmonton Prospects will share "The Edmonton Ballpark" (formerly known as Telus Field) for at least the first half of the season.
Sharing the field means the schedules for all teams in the league have been adjusted to accommodate both teams. The Prospects’ home opener will now take place Saturday May 28 at 7 p.m. against the Giants, with the Giants’ home opener happening on the afternoon of May 29.
