Golf fan or not, a lot of us will be tuned into the TV next weekend when the Masters are on. Golf fan or not, a lot of you should be tuned into the TV this weekend to watch the Houston Open. Why would you do that? The answer is simple. Weyburn's Graham DeLaet is sitting right near the top of the leaderboard, and he should get some solid TV time today.
DeLaet goes into today's 3rd round just three rounds off the leader--Bryce Molder--who sits at nine under par. DeLaet shot a 5 under 67 yesterday to get into contention. He also had a lot of his round shown on "The Golf Channel" which I think was the first time this year that we have seen a lot of his round get televised. NBC has 3rd and 4th round coverage and one would guess that as he flirts with the leaders that he will be shown. C'mon Johnny Miller, can you pronounce Saskatchewan?

Here's a case of Canada's justice system being completely and totally twisted beyond control. I take you to Hamilton where a slow-pitch player has successfully sued the owner of a field for 1.5 million dollars. George Black (not the former CFL officiating head) was playing 3rd base when a line drive came screaming towards him. He could not see the ball in the sun and it hit him in the face. His hands were covering his face and two fingers were broken along with a cut eyebrow that resulted in 20 stitches and one pupil now being larger than the other. Black filed a lawsuit against the owner of the diamond--steel maker Dofasco--for not having a sunscreen to protect the players or for not warning anyone of the danger of the sun on that day. Are you kidding me? If this guy actually does get his money, this will cause ripple effects throughout Canada. How many diamonds in Regina have sunscreens? The one that gets me is he wasn't properly warned. How stupid do you have to be to see that looking towards home plate and seeing the sun could be a little dangerous. I can't believe a judge would honestly look at this and not throw the case away.

The Hawks beat the Devils 2-1 in a shootout last night. That's not uncommon. What was uncommon was the fact the two teams played 65 minutes without one penalty being called. When is the last time that happened? Considering that game was between two of the NHL heavyweights, I would have loved to seen it.
-----
I love Colby Armstrong. He's a player that gives it everything he has on each and every shift. However, Colby is getting off light with his latest indiscretion. He delivered an elbow to the face of a Washington player Thursday night and gets just two games for it. If the NHL is serious on cracking down on this stuff, he had to get more than two games.

The NFL network had Arena Football on last night. Do you like Arena Football? Its quirky and I can watch it for a few minutes, but I don't stay with it the way I do the CFL, NFL or NCAA. That being said, I would love to see the Riders take on the Eskimos, Bombers or Stamps in an AF game at the Brandt Centre. You wouldn't have to play your stars but guys you are trying to develop. Graham Harrell or Cole Bergquist could be the QB, Hugh Charles or one of the two guys signed this week could be the running backs, etc. etc. I think it would be alright. Didn't Toronto have an AF franchise at one point. What was their name? While on that topic, does anyone remember the name of the Montreal team in the World League of American Football. If you answered "The Montreal Machine" go to the head of the class.

If you have not seen "The Blind Side" yet, see it. It is a VERY good movie!

I have had several tell me "Hot Tub Time Machine" is very good. I still can't see myself going or watching it when it comes on Superchannel.
----
Seeing the Brandon-Saskatoon final last night just makes me wish even more that we could see that series on TV instead of the Medicine Hat-Calgary one.
----
I'll take Michigan State and West Virginia to win today's March Madness semi-finals. That being said, look for the national championship game to feature Butler against Duke.
----
If we can have the NFL Network, the NHL network, Raptors TV, and the Golf Channel, can we not find some way to get the MLB Network onto our cable lineup. I also agree with Vanstone in today's paper when he asks why TSN2 can't show us ESPN's Baseball Tonight each and every night. I would rather see that than a repeat of whatever NHL or NBA game the main network had on.

Charlie Sheen says he's thinking about leaving "Two and a Half Men" when this season is over. If that happens, just say goodbye to the show. There might be no better character on TV right now than Charlie Harper. Can you imagine Charlie hanging out with Al Bundy? Speaking of which, while I doubt as if it would ever happen, I would love to see a "Married with Children" movie and see how the Bundys are doing now. While I'm sure Ed O'Neill and Katey Sagal would be in for it, I'm not sure Christina Applegate would want to reprise Kelly and as for David Faustino, well Bud has fallen off the earth it would seem.

Have a good Saturday and if your child should ask you what's for supper tonight, say rabbit stew and see what type of look you get!

Say "Skunk Stew" or "snake vittles" and I'd bet you'd get an even stranger look!
happy Easter everyone!!
Its just a matter of time until Graham gets a winners cheque. He will pass Weir and Ames as Canada's best on Tour by the end of next year for sure.
The slowpitch guy is human slime exemplified. There's no way he wins that case.
I'd go to a CFL Arena League game.
Kevin
I can just see Tony Merchant setting up shop at Rambler Park evenings and weekends! This judge should be investigated.
What a frustrating round for Graham. He just stays at 7 under and can't move up. The good news is a solid round tomorrow and he could still win.
I would go see a CFL arena league game, but seeing the Riders play all of their games in Regina, lets play this one at CUC.
They already did a Married... With Children cast reunion on David Faustino's series Star-ving:

LOL at the Tony Merchant comment! Mostly because it's true...
