Best and Worst Of The Weekend

I'm going to try something new today. I'm hoping you weigh in with your two cents on this each Monday. What was the best and the worst for you when it comes to sports this weekend. From the time you left the office Friday night to the time you are back having coffee with your cohorts this morning, what was the one best thing and what was the one worst thing you saw. It can be one game, one play from a game, one event, whatever.
For me, the best thing I saw this weekend would have been the Calgary-Edmonton football game which was the best CFL game I've seen in a long time, but it doesn't count because it happened on Thursday. So......I will go with the first half of the Rider game. I have never seen a defence be as dominant as what the Rider D was against the Ti-Cats. No first downs and minus 7 yards of total offence. You simply can't get much better than that.
The worst thing I saw this weekend was Padraig Harrington losing any hope he had of winning the PGA championship with a disastrous 8 on the 8th hole. Its nothing for me to get an 8 on a par 3, but for one of the world's best to do it on such a big stage, and to have it all fall apart on one hole for two straight weeks was a little surreal.
There's my entries for the weekend that was. What about you?

Best thing-Watching the Bombers suck at home again with Michael Bishop

Best:
Rob Bagg gets blown up, but hangs on to the ball and gets off the ground talking sh*t to the Hamilton secondary. Awesome.

Worst: Nascrap Nationwide series drama between Kurt Busch and the other guy. You pansies need to stop running your mouths and start chucking the knuckles. Even the Indycar guys are tougher than you crybabies.

Best Thing:

Agree about Rob Bagg and then Weston Dressler running it in with authority. Just watching Calvillo do what he does. When his career ends that'll be sad as he's very special when it comes to the CFL. I never watch golf, but I was waiting for the game to come on, and caught the end of the PGA. Loved watching Tiger Woods not win that major. Then in typical fashion instead of giving credit to the other guy, he said it was the result of his putter etc.

Worst Thing:

Michael Vick's whole shananigans. He's played the PR game perfect. In fact Roger Clemons, Pete Rose, and Barry Bonds should be taking notes. He's contrite, remorseful, his "apology" even had the required snot bubbles coming out of the nose when he's crying. Played it perfectly, and people have again fallen for that shit.

Best--Seeing Yang make that putt on 18 thus cementing that Tiger would not win.

Worst--Seeing that Dodgers pitcher take one right off the head on Friday and then seeing David Wright get plunked on the noggin Saturday afternoon.

Let me amend that:

Had I seen the Keith Shologan interview during the weekend that would have been the best thing by far. Thanks for putting that link up Mitch. Watching that really pulls things into perspective.

The riders getting yet another punt blocked was the worst thing.

Robb Bagg running with real purpose after he caught the ball was the best thing.

The best thing was the Rider win. You can say that after any Rider win

The worst thing was the Michael Vick interview. I don't know if you saw it, but it seems to me as if Vick's people basically told him how to act. Much like Montgonery Burns' people when he ran for office. If only Blinky the three eyed fish had been sitting on a nearby table.

Best- Riders win
Worst-Listening the golf commentators thinking it was "Tragic" that Tiger lost a tournament when he led after the third round. How is that "tragic"? Frustrating, unheardof, a first, yes, but tragic? Someone needs to pull out their Thesaurus and come up with a more appropriate adjective.
