The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import defensive ends Angelo Craig, Darius Powell and Marc Schiechl, and released import defensive end Stevie Baggs.
Craig, a 6-4, 245-pound native of Cleveland, Ohio spent time on the Ticats practice roster last season after signing on October 18. Craig was drafted by the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals in the 7th round in 2008 (244th overall) and also spent time with the NFL’s New England Patriots and The Green Bay Blizzard of the IFL.
Powell, a 6-3, 225-pound native of Waldorf, Maryland, suited up in one game with the Ticats last season after signing on May 31. He recorded 36 tackles and 8.5 quarterback sacks at Fayetteville State in 2009.
Schiechl, a 6-2, 252-pound native of Lakewood, Colorado, spent last season with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars after a record-setting collegiate career at the Colorado School of Mines. Schiechl holds the NCAA Division II career quarterback sack record (46.0) while his 70.5 tackles for a loss are the fourth-highest in Division II history. He was named the RMAC and NFFCC Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and earned all-RMAC recognition three times.
Baggs played in 25 regular season games with the Ticats after signing as a free agent on September 16, 2010. Last season, Baggs made 50 defensive tackles and five quarterback sacks in 18 games.
“We’d like to thank Stevie for his efforts both on and off the field, but we feel that it’s in the best interests of our football team to move forward with different players on our defensive line. We wish Stevie all the best in his future endeavours,” said head coach and director of football operations George Cortez.

I hope Taman doesn't want to bring him back here even though we need DE's. His attitude can be a major distraction.
Baggs is a "me" guy. Don't need him here.
Ex Rider John Chick (NFL's Jacksonville) and ex Ti-Cat Justin Hickman (NFL's Indianapolis) made Baggs look better than he actually was.
