Former SJHL'er Signs With Flyers
The Philadelphia Flyers have signed former Humboldt Bronco Andrew Johnston to an entry-level contract. Johnston, who has committed to play Division 1 hockey at Union College, was one of the key ingredients on a Broncos team that got to the semi-finals of the RBC Cup before losing to Woodstock.

Congrats to Andrew. He is (was) the marquee player in the SJ this year. Good stuff!
Just like the kid from La Ronge, I think its a mistake to forgo the education for a shot at the pros that likely never sees him play above the ECHL. Isn't the education why these kids play Junior A?
